People around the world have practiced yoga for thousands of years, and millions of Americans currently enjoy its health benefits. Yoga is an effective, low-impact form of exercise that involves integration of every muscle, organ, and cell of the body, bringing balance to body and mind.   We come to yoga classes looking to find balance (equanimity) in our lives.  Yoga is about feeling better & the dynamics among attention (awareness), breath, posture, thought, emotion, and their relationship to deep change.  People will, or should,  come out of a yoga class with a sense of calm & well-being. We teach a classic style of yoga.  Hatha uses postures, in combination with the breath to develop flexibility and calmness.   Our primary focus is on safety, and we teach careful alignment combined with conscious breath and quiet mind.   We do not heat our rooms, as we believe the body fares best when allowed its own natural course of warming up and cooling down.   ​
